*** Please note: Our Partnership Program is fully committed (both financial and in-kind) for all events being staged in 2013 and no further applications can be accepted for this time.***
Yarra Trams is a part of everyday life in Melbourne - not just through the efficient transport of hundreds of thousands of passengers each day. Yarra Trams is active in the communities, supporting more than 160 community groups and events each year.
If you are interested in seeking sponsorship from Yarra Trams, in order to assist you, we have developed specific Sponsorship Guidelines (42kb PDF) outlining our requirements.
Please review these guidelines before submitting your application and address your application to the criteria outlined. As we receive many applications each year and unfortunately are not able to support all these requests, please ensure your application specifically details the support you are requesting and the benefits you are able to offer.
Charity Partner - the Good Friday Appeal for the Royal Children's Hospital
Like Yarra Trams, the Royal Children's Hospital is a community institution on which the people of Melbourne depend. The Hospital has looked after successive generations of Melburnians and the Yarra Trams family chose to support the hospital so that it can look after future generations too.
Since 2005, the Royal Children's Hospital has been the major Charity Partner for Yarra Trams. Staff across the company's 13 locations all stage fundraising events throughout the year with additional contributions made by the company and customers. Trivia nights, raffles, balls, auctions, barbeques and sporting competitions all contribute towards the end of year total.
Each year, Yarra Trams has continued as a Major Partner in the annual Good Friday Appeal and a key supporter of the Run for Kids - Australia's second largest fun run. As a part of the Etihad Stadium festivities on Good Friday, Yarra Trams staff roll up their sleeves to sell "Tramburgers" to the hungry crowds with all funds raised going towards the appeal.
Yarra Trams provides a painted tram promoting the good works of the Royal Children's Hospital and encourages the people of Melbourne to get behind the Good Friday Appeal.
Since the partnership was formed, Yarra Trams has raised more than $550,000 for the appeal and has provided in excess of $2.5m of in-kind sponsorship for the Royal Children's Hospital and its fundraising activities.
Through our combined efforts, the Royal Children's Hospital has opened the Yarra Trams Parents Lounge in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. It is the second family facility at the hospital funded through the corporate donation and fundraising efforts of Yarra Trams staff.
