Tram Overhead Works - Church & High Streets, Kew

In order to improve your local tram service, Yarra Trams upgraded the overhead tram wires along Church and High Streets from Henry Street in Kew (Melway map 45 A7) to Denham Street in Hawthorn (Melway map 44 K9) in June 2007.

Overhead wires along tram tracks are used to transfer electricity to the tram via a tram’s pantograph and during overhead upgrades these wires are replaced.
