Due to overhead wire works on Keilor Rd, Airport West, trams on Route 59 will be replaced by buses between the Essendon Tram Depot (tram stop 27) and the Airport West Terminus (tram stop 59), from approximately 11pm to last tram on Tuesday 17 June and again on Wednesday 18 June 2008.
Buses will follow the tram route and will service all stops.
Passengers for the following tram stops on Matthews Avenue are advised to use the existing kerbside bus stops:
- Stop 53 – Keilor Rd
- Stop 54 – Fullarton Rd
- Stop 55 – Hart St
- Stop 56 – Earl St
- Stop 57 – Hawker St
- Stop 58 – Marshall Rd
- Stop 59 – Dromana Ave
Passengers travelling on the tram replacement bus service will require valid Metcards.
