Due to overhead wire works on Keilor Rd, Airport West, trams on Route 59 will be replaced by buses between the corner of Fletcher and Napier Streets (stop 41) and the Airport West Terminus (stop 59) from first tram to approximately 2pm on Sunday 29 June 2008.
Tram replacement buses will follow the tram route and will service all stops.
Passengers for the following tram stops are advised to use the temporary bus stops nearby:
- Stop 42 – Mt Alexander Rd & Shamrock St/Grice Cres
- Stop 43 – Mt Alexander Rd & Thistle St/Brewster St
- Stop 44 – Mt Alexander Rd & Thorn St/Sturt St
- Stop 45 – Mt Alexander Rd & Leake St/Glass St
- Stop 53 – Matthews Ave & Keilor Rd
- Stop 54 – Matthews Ave & Fullarton Rd
- Stop 55 – Matthews Ave & Cameron St
- Stop 56 – Matthews Ave & Earl St
- Stop 57 – Matthews Ave & Hood St/English St
- Stop 58 – Matthews Ave & Hawker Ave
- Stop 59 – Matthews Ave & Marshall Rd
- Stop 60 – Matthews Ave, south of Dromana Ave
Passengers travelling on the tram replacement bus service will require valid Metcards.
