Yarra Trams has fined me for not having a valid ticket. What happens with my personal information?

Yarra Trams does not issue fines. Authorised Officers provide a Report Of Non Compliance to the State Government’s Department of Infrastructure (DoI). DoI then makes a determination as to whether a fine should be issued and will make contact via mail. Fines are paid directly to the State Government. Your personal information is maintained on a database by the DoI and can be accessed under the relevant Freedom of Information Act legislation.
