Raymond O’Flaherty was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Yarra Trams in October 2005. He is responsible for providing financial leadership to the business and driving and supporting its key performance improvement initiatives. He takes on the role of Acting CEO as required.
Prior to assuming this role, Raymond was the Manager, Business Performance and Reactive Projects where he was responsible for leading various commercial projects and ensuring full compliance with State Government franchise requirements.
Raymond joined Yarra Trams in May 2002 as Financial Analyst and was a key player in negotiations with the State Government on the new Yarra Trams franchise.
Prior to joining Yarra Trams, Raymond spent 10 years with Coopers & Lybrand (Dublin) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (Australia). He was a Director of Corporate Finance & Investment Banking and led cross border acquisitions, divestments and finance raising projects with clients.
Raymond qualified as a Chartered Accountant (Ireland) in 1990. He also holds a Masters in Applied Finance and a Masters in Business Administration.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ireland) and a member of the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce.
