Tram track and overhead renewal is an integral part of keeping the tram network safe. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we transform the network.
Yarra Trams undertakes the following steps with all our planned works to ensure traders and residents are notified in advance:
- A letter is sent out to those in the surrounding area detailing the works and when they will take place
- A representative from Yarra Trams visits traders in the local area to ensure they have received the letter and to answer any questions they may have about the works
- A reminder letter is sent
- A public notice is placed in the Herald Sun and The Age which includes information on tram and traffic diversions
Due to the nature of urgent repairs we are not always given advance warning of these works to notify those in the surrounding area. We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause but it is imperative they are carried out immediately for the safety of the network.
