Overhead Powerline Maintenance & Renewal

Over time the overhead wires along tram tracks, which are used to transfer electricity to the tram via a tram’s pantograph, wear down and must be replaced.

Yarra Trams continues to upgrade this wire and to date we have renewed overhead powerline (trolley wire) along 39km of double track.
