September 2016 performance results

07 October, 2016

Yarra Trams delivered 98.94 per cent of services in September with 84.5 per cent of services arriving on time. This was an improvement on last month and follows a focus on increasing the availability of trams as well as continuing work to improve the punctuality of services. During September rallies in the CBD, adverse weather, third party incidents and traffic from the Tullamarine freeway widening works and Royal Melbourne Show affected performance outcomes. Tram improvement works on Line 57 at Errol St were successfully completed in September. Further tram improvement works on Line 86 are taking place in October in preparation for the introduction of E-Class trams. We continue to work closely with a range of stakeholders to improve services for all our passengers.
