As part of Melbourne Open House, ABC Radio National's By Design program broadcast its Wednesday 10 August program from on-board one of the quintessential icons of Melbourne, a City Circle tram.
The program celebrated Melbourne's architecture and urban design, part of which is its famous tram network.
Yarra Trams Chief Operating Officer Clement Michel joined host Alan Saunders and an audience of Radio National listeners to discuss the importance of trams in Melbourne's history.
Highlights of the program are now available online.
