Yarra Trams will observe one minute's silence at 11am on Friday 11 November 2011 for Remembrance Day as a mark of respect for those who have died for or served Australia in all wars and armed conflicts.
Yarra Trams has asked tram drivers to ensure that trams remain at stops during the one minute of silence at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Remembrance Day, originally known as Armistice Day, marks the anniversary of the armistice which officially ended the First World War (1914-18).
Lest we forget.
