Advertising on trams and at stops
Yarra Trams is a proud supporter of a new campaign promoting goodwill on Australia Day.
The community engagement initiative, in partnership with outdoor media company Adshel, can be seen in selected tram shelters around Melbourne.
It displays the lyrics of Bruce Woodley's famous song I Am Australian whilst wishing Yarra Trams customers a happy Australia Day for 2012.
"Hundreds of thousands of people will see these messages at busy tram stops, so it's a fantastic reminder that the 26th of January is not just another public holiday," said Greg McGann, Yarra Trams Director of Marketing and Customer Service.
"With a workforce drawn from more than 60 national backgrounds, Yarra Trams represents the essence of modern Australia and we're delighted to help spread the message of goodwill," he said.
Stuart Moffatt, Adshel Commercial Director for Victoria, SA and WA said: "We have the ability to utilise such a strong and effective medium to promote one of the most important days of the year. It's a day for the nation to celebrate its identity."
It comes after a successful ANZAC Day campaign that ran in Melbourne last year and will become an annual installation for the outdoor media company.
Adshel has the contract for advertising on tram shelters throughout the Yarra Trams network.
