Update: 09:36am
The accident blocking the road has been cleared and Route 72 trams have now resumed their normal route, running via Commercial and Malvern Roads.
Update: 09:10am
As the disruption is ongoing a limited bus replacement is running between Glenferrie/Malvern Roads and Commercial/St Kilda Roads. Passengers can also use the 216, 219 and 220 buses.
Update: 08.37am
Route 72 trams are diverting via Dandenong Road in both directions due to a road accident blocking tracks on Malvern Road. Citybound trams will turn left into Malvern Road, then travel via Glenferrie Road to Dandenong Road where they will connect with St Kilda Road and rejoin the normal route. Trams to Camberwell will continue past Commercial Road to Dandenong Road, turn left and then run to Glenferrie Road before turning right into Malvern Road and running as normal to Camberwell.
