Tram Shelter Construction - Victoria Street Stop 19 Richmond

As part of the modernisation of Melbourne's tram network Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria are building a tram shelter at 261 Victoria Street in Richmond.


Works will occur both during the day and at night from Monday 4 until Wednesday 20 September 2017:

  • Day works between 7am and 5pm.
  • Night works between 1:30am and 5am between the last and first tram services.

Noise disruption

Residents can expect to see and hear a number of work crews on site during the installation. Most noisy work will be scheduled during the day, but there may be a need to do some work involving noise outside these hours to ensure that the work is completed on time.

Tram services

There will be no impact to scheduled tram services.


No roads will be closed during the work period.

Traffic controllers will be in place to facilitate local access.
