Yarra Trams received formal notification from the RTBU prior to today’s bargaining session of the intent for further industrial action that will affect the tram network.
As part of the modernisation of Melbourne’s tram network, Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria will be performing maintenance and repair work on tram tracks on St Kilda Road/Nepean Highway in St Kilda. Work will take place on sections of track between St Kilda junction and Blanche Street/Pakington Street.

Network upgrade work in July 2015 saw a dip in both service delivery and punctuality, with 99.23 per cent of timetabled services delivered and 84.02 per cent of these services arriving on time.

As part of the modernisation of Melbourne’s tram network, Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria are maintaining and repairing tram tracks on Plenty Road, Bundoora. Work will take place on sections between Settlement Road and the Bundoora Tram Terminus at McKimmies Road.

June 2015 saw improvements in both service delivery and punctuality, with 99.39 per cent of timetabled services delivered and 85.18 per cent of these services arriving on time.

Track maintenance work will take place from 8pm on Sunday 12 to 5am on Monday 13 July on Balaclava Road in Caulfield North. Tram services will not be affected by this work.

The new tram terminus at Blyth Street, East Brunswick, is now open for passengers, as part of the Route 96 upgrade to create Melbourne's first fully accessible tram line.
