As part of the modernisation of Melbourne’s tram network, Yarra Trams will be upgrading the overhead tram cables and tracks along Carlisle Street between Barkly Street and Orange Grove, and along Chapel Street between Dandenong Road and Rosamond Street.

As part of the modernisation of Melbourne’s tram network, Yarra Trams will be renewing the overhead tram cables and tracks at Wattletree Rd and Dandenong Rd.

Yarra Trams will operate extra services to the Melbourne Rebels vs Waratahs match at AAMI Park on Friday 24 May.
Extra trams will be provided for all AFL matches at the MCG and Etihad Stadium this weekend.

As a part of the modernisation of Melbourne’s tram network, Yarra Trams is installing new traffic signals at the entrance to Kew Tram Depot on Barkers Road and Little Church Street. These new traffic signals will facilitate the safe operation of trams travelling in and out of Kew Tram Depot, whist also improving safety for motorist, passengers and pedestrians.

Yarra Trams is expecting delays to some tram services this morning due to a march through the CBD. At various times the march is expected to disrupt tram services on Swanston Street, La Trobe Street and Elizabeth Street.
