Melbourne Marathon - Sunday 14 October

Due to the Melbourne Marathon on Sunday 14 October 2012, the following tram service changes will apply:

SWANSTON STREET

First tram to 12:00pm - Route 1 trams will operate as Route 1a and divert in both directions between Stop 7 RMIT University and Sturt Street & Kings Way travelling along Kings Way, Queensbridge Street, Market Street, Flinders Lane, William Street and La Trobe Street.

First tram to 9:30am - Route 3a, 5, 6, 8 (from Toorak), 16, 64, 67 and 72 trams will operate as Route 3a, 5a, 6a, 8a, 16a, 64a, 67a and 72a terminating in St Kilda Road at Stop 14 Arts Precinct.

Route 8 (from Moreland) trams will operate as Route 8a terminating in Swanston Street at Stop 8 Melbourne Central Station.

FLINDERS STREET

First tram to 12:00pm - Route 70 trams will operate as Route 70a terminating at Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena. Passengers should consider catching a train between Richmond Station and Flinders Street Station. A shuttle tram will operate between Stop 4 Elizabeth & Flinders Streets and Waterfront City Docklands

First tram to 9:00am - Route 75 trams will operate as Route 75a and divert in both directions between Stop 9 Lansdowne Street & Wellington Parade and Victoria Harbour Docklands traveling along Spring Street and Collins Street. A shuttle tram will operate between Stop 4 Elizabeth & Flinders Streets and Spencer & La Trobe Streets.

BOURKE STREET

First tram to 12:00pm - Route 96 trams will operate as Route 96a terminating at Stop 132 St Kilda Station.

WILLIAM STREET

First tram to 12:00pm - Route 55 trams will operate as Route 55a terminating at Stop 114 City Road and Kings Way.

Due to these changes, tram services will operate to their normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time. Yarra Trams suggests you allow extra time for your journey.
