Route 3a and 16 - Saturday 21 July

Yarra Trams will be doing remedial tram track works in Carlisle Street between Nelson Street and Blenheim Street, Balaclava from 9pm Saturday 21 July 2012.

The following service changes will apply from approximately 9pm until last tram:

Route 3a trams will be replaced by buses between Stop 138 Luna Park & The Esplanade and Stop 53 Caulfield Park, Balaclava and Bambra Roads.

Tram replacement buses will detour around the works zone travelling via Carlisle Street, Chapel Street, Inkerman Road, Hotham Street and Balaclava Road in both directions.

Route 16 trams will operate as Route 16a and be replaced by buses between Stop 138 Luna Park & The Esplanade and Stop 53 Malvern Station in Glenferrie Road.

Tram replacement buses will detour around the works zone travelling via Carlisle Street, Chapel Street, Inkerman Street, Hotham Street and Balaclava Road, Hawthorn Road, Dandenong Road and Glenferrie Road in both directions.

Stop 53 - In Glenferrie Road, 15m south of Como Street (from Melbourne University only)

Stop 40 - Use 216/219 bus stops in Inkerman Street
Stop 39 - In Inkerman Street, 15m east of Orange Grove (to Melbourne University only)
Stop 39 - In Inkerman Street, 15m west of Malakoff Street (from Melbourne University only)
Stop 38 - In Inkerman Street, under rail bridge, east of Nelson and Raglan Streets
Stop 37 - In Carlisle Street, 15m west of Chapel Street (to Melbourne University only)

Due to these changes, tram services will operate to their normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time. Yarra Trams suggests that you allow extra time for your journey.
