As part of the modernisation of Melbourne's tram network, Yarra Trams will be renewing the overhead wires in East Malvern on Sunday 19 August 2012.
The following service changes will apply from first tram to 6pm: Route 3a tram services will operate between Melbourne University and Stop 53 Caulfield Park.
Tram replacement buses will operate between Stop 53 Caulfield Park and the East Malvern terminus. Tram replacement buses will operate via Balaclava Road and Normanby Road then continue along Normanby Road, Queens Avenue, Sir John Monash Drive, Burke Road and Waverley Road.
The following tram stops will not be serviced by trams or the tram replacement bus:
Due to these changes, tram services will operate to their normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time. Yarra Trams suggests that you allow extra time for your journey.
Please note that further works are planned for September. Thank you for your understanding as we build for the next 100 years of Melbourne's trams.
