Tram improvement work - Flinders Street & Spencer Street - Friday 2 to Sunday 11 January 2015

Tram service changes will be in place for Route 12, 30, 70, 75, 96, 109 & City Circle trams due to tram improvement work at the Flinders and Spencer streets intersection.

As part of the modernisation of Melbourne's tram network, Yarra Trams and Public Transport Victoria are building a new level access tram stop on Spencer Street and upgrading tram infrastructure in the surrounding area. These works are critical to the ongoing improvement of the network and will require a large construction zone that will cause disruptions.

Route 75 trams will be extended to operate as Route 75a between Vermont South and Waterfront City, Docklands.

City Circle trams will operate in a clockwise direction only, and will not service Docklands Drive.

Please note that the existing Stop 123 at the corner of Flinders Street and Spencer Street will be removed once the new level access stop is complete to optimise the spacing between tram stops on Spencer Street.

During these changes, trams and replacement buses will operate to their normal frequency. However, they may not arrive at the scheduled time. Yarra Trams suggests you allow extra time for your journey.
