Service changes will apply on Route 12 & 109 trams from 7am
Sunday, 21 February to 5am Sunday, 28 February due to network upgrade work in
Victoria St, Richmond.
Route 12 trams will operate as Route
12a between St Kilda and Stop 18 Hoddle St.
Route 109 trams will operate as Route
109a, diverting via Bridge Rd along Route
48 between Stop 29 Barkers Rd and Stop 8 Spring
Buses will replace Route 12 and
109 trams between Stop 16 Wellington St and Stop
29 Barkers Rd via Stop 24 Victoria Gardens, diverting around the
work zone. A stop has now been placed at Church St/Victoria
St towards Box Hill/Victoria Gardens.
Between 1.30am and 5.30am on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February,
buses will replace Route 109 Night
Trams between Stop 7 101 Collins St and Stop 29 Barkers
Tram stop changes will apply. Buses will stop at the footpath
near platform stops where possible.
Extra trams will operate from 7am to 7pm on weekdays as
Route 12a between Victoria Harbour Docklands and
Stop 16 Wellington St.
There will be no
low floor trams along Victoria Parade during the works. Customers
may wish to consider normal SmartBus services between Hoddle St and
Spencer St via Lonsdale St, Spring St and Victoria Pde.
During the works, trams and replacement buses will operate to
the normal frequency. However, they may not arrive at the scheduled
