Service changes apply on Routes 3a, 5, 16, 64, 67 & 72 trams from first to last tram on Friday 25 to Monday 28 March due to tram improvement work on St Kilda Rd & Commercial Rd.

*Further to the map, buses will conect the sections between Stop 21 Bowen Crescent & Stop 27 High St. Accessibility buses will be available from Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance.

Friday 25 March, first tram to 10am

  • Route 3a, 5a, 16a, 64a & 67a trams will operate between the south eastern suburbs and Stop 30 St Kilda Junction. 
  • Route 6a trams will operate between Glen Iris and a temporary stop in High St near St Kilda Rd.

Extra Route 67a trams will operate between Stop 21 Bowen Crescent and Melbourne University. All St Kilda Rd/Swanston St customers can use these trams. 

Buses will connect the sections between Stop 30 St Kilda Junction and Stop 21 Bowen Crescent.

10am Friday 25 March to last tram Monday 28 March    

  • Route 3a, 5a, 6a, 16a, 64a & 67a trams, including Route 67a Night Trams, will operate between the south eastern suburbs and Stop 27 High St.  

Extra Route 67a trams, including Route 67a Night Trams, will operate between Stop 21 Bowen Crescent and Melbourne University. All St Kilda Rd/Swanston St customers use these trams.

Buses will connect the sections between Stop 27 High St and Stop 21 Bowen Crescent.

Friday 25 to Monday 28 March, from first to last tram. 

  • Route 72a trams will operate in sections from Friday 25 to Saturday 26 and again on Monday 28 March between Camberwell and Stop 43 Glenferrie Rd. Buses will replace trams between Stop 43 Glenferrie Rd and Stop 19 Shrine of Remembrance, diverting around the work zone.

Sunday 27 March only: Buses will replace trams between Camberwell and Stop 21 Bowen Crescent, diverting around the work zone.

Tram replacement buses stopping kerbside at temporary stop 100m south of platform (Up to 100m/1 min walk)

 

Customers for the Alfred Hospital can use Route 72 tram replacement buses or normal diverting bus routes 216, 219, 220 to stops near Punt Rd/Commercial Rd.

Customers may also wish to consider trains between the suburbs and the City.

Bus service changes: Service changes will affect Transdev bus routes 216, 219 and 220. Buses will divert around the work zone along Punt Rd and Toorak Rd. Some stops along St Kilda Rd and Commercial Rd will not be serviced.

During the work, trams and replacement buses will operate to the normal frequency, however they may not arrive at the scheduled time. We suggest you allow extra time for your journey. On Good Friday trams will operate to a Sunday frequency, and on Easter Monday trams will operate to Saturday frequency, with last tram approximately one hour earlier than usual.
