Extra trams to events in February

Extra trams will operate during February for the following events. While timetabled trams will operate to their normal frequency, some may not arrive at their scheduled time due to traffic congestion around event venues. We suggest you allow extra time for your journey.

MCG/Hisense Arena

  • Monday 6 February at 7:30pm - Basketball, Melbourne United v Illawarra Hawks
  • Sunday 12 February at 3pm - Basketball, Melbourne United v Perth Wildcats
  • Tuesday 14 February at 8pm - Concert, Guns N' Roses
  • Saturday 18 February at 9pm - Netball, Melbourne Vixens v Collingwood Magpies
  • Sunday 26 February at 7:30pm - Concert, Porter Robinson & Madeon

Extra trams will operate as Route 70a  between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7C MCG/Hisense Arena, or as Route 75a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 11 Jolimont Station/MCG. Customers using Southern Cross Station can connect with Route 48 trams on Collins Street.

Margaret Court/Rod Laver Arena

  • Friday 3 & Saturday 4 February at 8pm - Concert, Human Nature
  • Sunday 5 & Monday 6 February at 7:30pm - Concert, Bring Me The Horizon
  • Wednesday 8 February at 7:30pm - Concert, James Taylor
  • Saturday 25 February at 7:30pm - Concert, José Carreras

Extra trams will operate as Route 70a between Flinders Street Station and Stop 7B Rod Laver Arena or Stop 7D AAMI Park.

AAMI Park

  • Thursday 2 & Saturday 4 February at 8pm - Concert, Bruce Springsteen
  • Saturday 11 February at 7:50pm - A-League soccer, Melbourne City v Brisbane Roar
  • Thursday 23 February at 7:30pm - Rugby Union, Rebels v Blues
  • Friday 24 February at 7:50pm - A-League soccer, Melbourne City v Sydney
  • Saturday 25 February at 7:50pm - A-league soccer, Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United

Etihad Stadium

  • Saturday 4 February at 7:50pm - A-League soccer, Melbourne Victory v Melbourne City

Extra trams will operate as Route 30a & 86a between East Melbourne and Stop D1 Etihad Stadium via La Trobe Street and Bourke Street.

Showgrounds

  • Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 February at 11am - Lunar New Year Tet Festival
  • Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 February at 9.30am - Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow

Extra trams will operate as Route 57a between Stop 5 Melbourne Central Station and Stop 32 Sandown Road.

Albert Park, Lakeside Stadium

  • Saturday 4, Thursday 9 & Saturday 11 February - Nitro Athletics

Extra trams will operate as Route 12a between Stop 122 Southern Cross Station and Stop 130 Albert Road. 

Carlton, Ikon Park

  • Friday 3 February - AFL Women's, Carlton v Collingwood 

After the match, extra trams will operate as Route 19a between Stop 16 Walker Street and Stop 1 Flinders Street Station.

Extra trams operating along Flinders Street or Bourke Street to the above events will be accessible low-floor trams, depending on availability.
